We work through volunteers to bring about lasting change

Story

Mary and I have decided to embark on a volunteer project with the VSO. This is something we are both very passionate about and a challenge we are looking forward to. From January we will be travelling to Gaulim Teachers College in Papua New Guinea to work alongside trainee teachers and teacher trainers. All money raised will go towards the VSO and the projects they run around the world.

Please dig deep and donate as this is a very worthy cause!

VSO is an international development charity that works through volunteers to fight poverty. By working with people– sharing their skills and knowledge in communities around the world, VSO volunteers can have a lasting impact on fighting poverty. Their skills, their legacy, remains long after volunteers leave meaning that local people and businesses can use this knowledge to empower themselves. This means that fighting poverty and development can be sustainable and long-lasting.

About the charity

VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.
