Motor Neurone Disease is a rapidly progressive neurogenerative condition. It attacks the nerve cells responsible for muscle control and can stop people from doing everyday things like walking, talking or eating. It leaves the intellect mainly unaffected and is ultimately fatal within 2-5 years for the majority of people. At the moment the causes of MND are unknown and there is no cure. In November 2007 I shall be taking part in the Sahara Trek Challenge, where I shall trek nearly 100 km through the Sahara Desert, in order to raise as much money as possible for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Please help me to raise money to help the MND Association fund vital research and to continue the provision of services to everyone living with MND in this country.
