So why am I asking you to sponsor me?
I am intending to kayak across the Irish Sea from Holyhead to the Port of Dublin with my good mate Baz, in the last week of June which will give us the most light and better weather. The distance is roughly 60-70 miles and will take 16+ hours, we will be self supporting. Baz and I came up with the challenge of paddling across theIrish Sea to test ourselves and nothing more, but the chance to make a difference to others less fortunate than a Tall bald bloke and a portly chap seemed very apt. I have chosen to support the fat boy’s charity, it is a charity close to home as I qualified with Mike Lawless and this charity was set up in his honour to support terminally ill children. Please support me and finally ask your friends and families to dig deep in their pockets to support this worthy charity.

Thank-you for your patience, unfortunately the weather and circumstances have not been on my side. I am now intending to complete the crossing in the spring of 2009.
Just to reassure you all the money that you have all so kindly pledged has gone directly to the charity, so this will already be making a difference to someone’s life less fortunate than us.
