I will be cycling the Etape du Tour in Provence on 20th July which takes in one of the stages of the Tour de France for mere mortals. While it is only 108miles the total climb is 3,500metres with the last 22km rising 1700m to the top of Mont Ventoux. The added pressure is the broomwagon which "sweeps" you up and eliminates you if you are not riding fast enough!

Please sponsor me in aid of Hospitality Action. There is a magnum of champagne for whoever most closely predicts my time in hours, minutes and seconds so if you fancy your chances please add a guess in the comments column - please check no one else has already picked that time. As a guide in 2006 I did the Etape, a 120 mile route in the Alps, in 9 hours 37 minutes. Feel free to put "Swept" or "Puncture" and the time after the start if you think that I won't make it.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hospitality Action gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
