Edinburgh Marathon 2008 · 25 May 2008 ·

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity provides comprehensive and high-quality care for local people with life-limiting illnesses wherever and whenever they need it. We support their loved ones and carers through the toughest of times. We help families make the most of every day together.

Story

Charlotte's Gran passed away with cancer just before Christmas 2007. She spent her last days at the Florance Nightingale Hospice at Stoke Mandeville, Ayslesbury. We were all overwhelmed by the people here and the attention given to Beryl to allow her to die with dignity and the least pain.

I ran the Edinburgh Marathon on the 25th of May 2008. After 6months training i managed to finish in 3:16:51. Chuffed with this indeed. Needed a sack of ibuprofen to mask hip injury ... what a martyr eh. Great event though aside a little headwind (!) on for the first 18miles weather was fine and dandy.

Hence, can I ask for a little money to donate to this needy charity so it can continue to provide this amazing facility to other people. Hospices really do need donations to provide this service....

Anyway, donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
