Over 20 & 21 June 09 I am taking part in a fundraising motorcycle rally in support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal during which I will be riding 1000 miles in a 24 hour period.  This forms part of an attempt by the Royal British Legion Riders Branch to set a European Record for the Iron Butt Rally, an endurance motorcycling event.  Further details are available at the link below.  The Poppy Appeal is not just once a year on Remembrance Day but an all year round effort to support those who have served.
