It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

The race is over - thanks to all those who sponsored me!  On a really terrible day weather-wise, I managed a reasonable time of just over 2 hours.

Through the generosity of so many people I reached my target of £10,000 but THERE IS STILL TIME TO SPONSOR ME IF YOU HAD BEEN MEANING TO (but just wanted to make sure I could do it)

A year ago my wife Sophie's mother died of pancreatic cancer, a particularly aggressive form of cancer because it is very difficult to detect until it is too late to treat. Sophie's mother died within two weeks of diagnosis, leaving a family which had no time to prepare.

The charity is Pancreatic Cancer UK, which is working hard to find a way of diagnosing this devastating disease earlier, to give people a chance of being cured before it is too late.  If you would like to know more about the work of this charity, please go to their website: www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me.  Pancreatic Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please dig deep - every little helps.  Thanks very very much.
