Story

On the 6th August 2011 I am planning on jumping out of an aeroplane from 10,000ft and free falling for 5,000ft at 120mph to raise money for Pet Blood Bank UK.

Pet Blood Bank UK is a charity which provides a national canine blood bank open to all UK veterinary practitioners and they are in the process of developing a feline blood bank too…

Just like the human blood service, Pet Blood Bank collects blood from donors at organised collection sessions. The blood is taken to a state of the art processing unit in Loughborough and is then processed into packed red blood cells and fresh plasma and supplied to veterinary practices across the UK.

This means vets have blood products on hand when they need it most to provide transfusions during surgery or to treat major traumas and disease.

I work behind the scenes for NKR Veterinary Specialists and have seen first hand pets being saved by our vets having these products to hand. I know this would be echoed by all the vet practices that use PBB.

There is no doubt that Pet Blood Bank UK provides a life saving service for sick and injured pets.
If you have a pet, then you may require their service one day. Please donate generously and help give a beloved pet a second chance.
Thank you so much!

Don't forget, you can text your donation, but texting 'JUMP55 £1' to 70070. Texts are free and you can make the £ any amount you wish!
