Story
Thank you all so much for your support! Our entire group made it to the roof of Africa, and I made my fundraising target.
It was a trip I'll never forget, and I have quite a bad memory!
Thank you again,
James

This is it, my last day at work before we travel to Tanzania tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for support, not long to go before I reach my fundraising target. But that'll have to wait, I have a mountain to climb!
See you all in 13 days!

September Update!!
I swam a mile in Lake Windermere in 41 minutes and 37 seconds! It was cold.
&
I ran the hilly sheffield 10km race this sunday and I smashed my previous personal best time by over 10 minutes!
I managed a time of 48 minutes 47 seconds! Coming in 779th out of over 6000 starters! I was barely conscious crossing the finishing line but immensely proud. I was thinking of all the support and it did keep me running all the way so thank you!

August Update!!
This sunday I will be donning my trainers and running the 10km race in Sheffield and the week after I'll be squeezing into a wet suit to swim a mile in the Great North Swim in the Lake District.
They are my main sponsorship events in order to try and get support for the Mount Kili trek. I've been training up for them and I know I can do the distance, its just me verses the cold and the hills now!
I've also changed my fundraising target to £1500 to reflect the money that will go directly to the charity (me self funding the rest).
So please support me and Engineers Against Poverty!! Funds need to be submitted by the 10th of September so please donate before then!
Thank you again!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, even if you clicked on the link i sent you by mistake, now you're here you may as well have a read!
At the end of this year I will be heading off on a 7 day intensive trek up the world tallest freestanding mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.
I’m doing this to raise money and awareness for Engineers Against Poverty as well as a personal challenge and a once in a lifetime type adventure!
Mount Kili, as I will affectionately and annoyingly now be calling it, stands at 5,895m high, which to put it into perspective is 4 and a bit Ben Nevis’.
I’ll need to undertake months of training (although running the Manchester 10km and climbing Snowdon will help) and will probably suffer the affects of altitude sickness at some point.
So whether you think what I’m doing is tough, whether you wish you could do it too but are not able to, or whether you just like the thought of me in pain please sponsor me now! .....and then again in a few days! .....then maybe again in a few months! .....I'm not going till December just keep donating!
And please don't think your sponsoring me on a jolly, I intend to fund the cost part of the trip myself and your donation will be going straight to the charity.
And don't forget giftaid. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Seriously, many many thanks for reading and for your support, this means a lot to me.
Cheers,
James.
