Story

I did it!

Still waiting for the official time due to a failure in my timing chip, but by my watch it was 4:20 (ish).

It was an amazing experience, one that I hope to repeat at some point in time.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful support you have given throughout my training and on the day, and for the incredible generosity in your donations.

Total so far: £8503.37

Thank you,

James.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As you may know, my youngest son Fintan has retinoblastoma, a very rare form of cancer which develops in the eye.  I am running the 2009 Flora London Marathon to raise money for The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT).

CHECT helps us and Fintan in many ways, they also help to raise awareness of retinoblastoma so that more children can be diagnosed earlier.

If you would like to read more about how Fintan is getting on with the treatment he is undergoing, we are keeping a blog at: http://fintan-tadgh.blogspot.com and if you would like to know more about Rb or the things which CHECT do, please visit their web site here: http://www.chect.org.uk.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks,

James.
