Mt. McKinley/Denali climb · 23 December 2004

Our projects provide food and income for communities, tackling poverty today. They also offer long-term change, improving the environment and soil fertility and tackling the effects of the climate crisis, for tomorrow. Thank you for your support.

Story

At 6194m/20,320ft, Denali rises dramatically from the Alaskan tundra, close to the Arctic Circle. Of the seven Continental summits, it's second only to Everest in terms of overall difficulty. From 26 May to 19 June 2005, James Ogilvie will be attempting to climb Denali. He hopes to raise £2000 for Tree Aid - a charity that improves the lives of African communities by helping them re-establish trees for food, fuel and shelter.

James has already paid for the trip, so your contribution will help achieve the £2000 target.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Tree Aid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
