Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Airborne Forces Charities is a grant giving foundation which supports the well-being of serving and retired soldiers of the Parachute Regiment, associated units and youth organisations.

Story

The 2009 London Marathon

I am running the 2009 London Marathon as fast as I can to raise money for Airborne Forces Charities.

Why?

Out of the 120 guys I served with in Afghanistan last year we suffered 5 fatalities, 14 seriously injured and another 30 wounded. This is just a small sample of how bad things are for the soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. These soldiers and their families need all the support that they can get.

Why Airborne Forces Charities?

Airborne Forces Charities will do their best to help these individuals and their families in any way possible. The Government has shown its shortcomings in providing support for our troops and therefore charities like the Airborne Forces Charities are vital.

Why use Justgiving?
