Story
Some what under duress I've found myself volunteering to run the Royals Parks Half Marathon in London this October. Those of you who know me will realise I'm just as nervous about raising the money as I am about doing the run. I've been training hard but I still have lots of money to raise. I'm taking on the challenge for the fabulous student activist network People & Planet.
People & Planet is a grass-roots organisation who campaign to protect the environment, defend human rights and end world poverty - and they're pretty damn good at it, just last year they took the Treasury to court seeking a Judicial Review to stop the Royal Bank of Scotland pouring money into projects which are causing climate change, environmental destruction and human rights violations.
People & Planet currently run the 'Go Green' campaign - working to reduce the environmental impact of universities and also the 'Buy Right' campaign which aims to eradicate sweatshop labour from university supply chains.
But unfortunately People & Planet is notoriously under-funded so they really need your support to carry on campaigning and empowering young people.
So please give a small donation and in return I'll run every centimeter of those 13.1 miles and post some embarrasing red and sweaty photos after.

thankyou
