Hi Everyone, Here is the story. . . . Last September i applied to run the London Marathon in 2008 and was slightly disappointed when everyone who was running was told in November / December and i heard nothing. Then two weeks ago i got my race number through the post which meant that i had a place. I am definitely not a natural runner but i am hoping that with a bit of natural fitness and a few training runs i will be able to complete the marathon. Now this Jade Goody-esq training regime is not going to allow me to complete it in a great time but i am hoping to do it in about 4.30 but as my max run at the moment is 13 miles who knows. To help me i am trying to raise money for the Prostrate Cancer charity. My father Charles died of this in 1999 and it will affect 1 in 3 of the males reading this. The charity helps those individuals and families with the disease and also funds vital researche. Selfishly perhaps the realization that my chance of getting Prostate Cancer is much higher due ti my close genetic link to my father is another reason to raise money for this charity. Enough from me.
