Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page (s).

As well as trying to beat my marathon PB of 2 hours 57 and cycling from London to Paris in June later this year, I am trying to raise a combined total of £3000, 1 for each of 3 charities; Cancer Research, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, which are all very important to me: -

Cancer Research -  I lost not only both my grandfathers to Cancer in the last couple of years, but also my mother and would like to support the invaluable work this great charity does.

Great Ormond Street - they saved the life of my great friend's son when the hospital where he was born couldn't operate on him and wouldn't even transfer him to London so GOS sent a special child ambulance to transfer him, successfully operated and saved his life.  Full story available here - http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2046580_on_your_marks_for_the_half_marathon

Charlie Waller Memorial Trust - this fantastic charity supports people suffering with depression, particularly the young, something I have experienced first hand with the suicide of a close family member when they were only 19.  http://www.cwmt.org/

In this difficult economic climate many charities will suffer, and that means the people they support will suffer even more.  Please take time to look at each of my pages and donate as much as you can to one of the three great causes:

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
