Story

Hi all,

Thanks for visiting this page.

Some of you may know that I have suffered with M.E (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) since I was 17.

For years I have struggled with severe physical and mental tiredness, aches and pains and many other symptoms like insomnia and acid reflux. Having M.E. made me miss out on many things, give up my favourite sports and even my biggest passion, the saxophone.

It's only recently that I've felt well enough to start exercising again, and I've felt compelled to set myself a challenge that'll prove I've really put the illness behind me

That's the reason I'm climbing Ben Nevis (the biggest mountain in the UK) on September 5th, along with Lou, Andy and Alice. This is a huge challenge for me, but I can't wait to get started.

If you can, I'd really like you to sponsor me. The money I raise will go straight to Action for M.E., a charity that runs support groups and funds research into M.E. They also campaign for better understanding of the illness and more access to support and services for sufferers.

Many people with M.E. find themselves far worse off than I did, even bedridden or housebound for years, and I would love to raise as much money as I can to help them.

Any support at all that you can give me will be very much appreciated!

Jamie
