Our mission is to support people to earn an income from a trade. We run vocational training and business development projects with our partners in Ghana, Malawi, Uganda and Zambia. Our UK volunteers collect and refurbish donated tools and sewing machines to support our projects and our shop sales.

Story

18 to go!!
The cut will be on the Sunday 3rd August

And so the time has finally come to cut loose. After 5 years of breeding new species of lice, nits and knots my beloved dreds are going, and it’s all in the name of charity.

I’ve decided to donate of the proceedings of my shave-off to Tools for Self Reliance, a charity that aims to support local organisations in some of the poorest countries in Africa by providing tools and training to help artisans improve their businesses.

So get your wallets and scissors out, donations to snip off one of my 46 dreds will start at £5 – and remember to give generously, it’s a charitable cause so the more ££ the better!

Please remember to leave the number of dreads you are sponsoring in the comments box - if you leave it blank I’ll assume your payment was just for one dread.

Thanks in advance for your support guys.

Happy donating!
