Hi, Thanks for taking the time to come to my fundraising page. Recently, I decided to attempt to complete a sponsored 100km hike across the mountainous terrain of Kyrgyzstan. Seriously... I'm taking on this challenge in aid of Focus Humitarian Assistance (http://www.focuschallenge.org/assets/Focus.pdf) , which is an affiliate of the AKDN (http://www.akdn.org/). Focus is an international group of agencies which provides emergency relief to communities suffering from natural disasters or man-made crises. It implements disaster risk reduction programmes in areas vulnerable to natural hazards and aims to reduce dependence on aid and facilitate the transition to sustainable development. Their work over the past 15 years has spanned the globe, reducing human suffering and helping communities, enduring the aftermath of disasters, maintain their dignity. A very worthy cause - I'm sure you'll agree. Having said that, personally, the hike itself will be a real test and any support will be hugely appreciated by the charity and myself. Especially support of a monetary kind. I have a fundraising target of £4000, so all sponsors, no matter what size, will be cherished.
