Run to the Beat 2008 · 5 October 2008 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Hello!

Those who know me well know that I'm a pretty serious athlete, so to them it will come as no surprise that I'm entering a half marathon style event on the fifth of October. That's 13 miles people, 13 MILES.

I'm already well into the training, as the picture of me running at the 1984 LA olympic games with Steve Cram and Sebastian Coe demonstrates. Steve Ovett is near the back somewhere.

In all seriousness this is something I'm going to find really hard, and your support will help me stick with my training and much more importantly will raise loads of cash for Leukaemia Research. More details about what they do are under my picture.

It's a really good cause and that, so dig deep.

Thanking you in advance
Jamie
