Story

As some of you will be aware, I have been suicidally stupid enough to sign myself up for the London Marathon this year. I am running in memory of my father (see left) who died unexpectedly just before Christmas. I will be running for HEART UK as they are doing tremendous work to try to prevent unnecessary early deaths through high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. These conditions contributed hugely to my dad's poor health and early death. I have been training hard over the last weeks and am racking up the miles. I can tell you that it is already hurting. 26 miles is an incredibly long way and I am already dreading hitting 'the wall' when I still have several miles to go to the finishing line. I don't want to let any of you down though, least of all HEART UK - so please do sponsor me, it's quite likely that your donations and good wishes will be all that keeps me going through to the painful end! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HEART UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Jamie
