When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I decided to run the Marathon and wanted to run for Stroke Association.    I was really excited when I got my place confirmed in August this year.

My dad suffered a massive brain hemorrhage just before my first daughter Penny was born.  The extent of the injuries meant he never got to know Penny or Cecilia (my second daughter).  Unfortunately, my dad passed away a few weeks ago a direct result of injuries he had suffered 5.5 years ago.

However,  I am determined to run and raise money in memory of my dad and for a charity that strives to make a difference through its research into care and treatments and its support services to those impacted and their families.  I hope that my efforts and money (and hopefully some of your money too!) will go to this good cause and support its important work.
