We did it! Jane who is well known for thinking exercise is pressing the snooze buton 12 times before getting up and Dave who trained for the ride by cycling 23 miles.

Three days, 30 hours of pedalling, one missed ferry, 45 pages of google map, zero punctures, one accidental trip down the motorway, several detours and 53 dead amimals passed in the road and we arrived under the Eiffel Tower in time for, well, bedtime.

Pictures/proof available to the left, and many more on facebook.

We still have some way to go to reach our sponsorship target, but we are confident we can make it with your help!

All sponsorship raised will support the work of United World Colleges.

5 reasons why you should support us:

1. Because you like us.

2. Because we got there all by ourselves, organised tours are for wimps!

3. We covered all costs of the trip so every penny you donate benefits UWC directly.

4. UWC is a fantastic charity which not only gives kids a top education, but motivates them to truly make a change for the better through their future actions. If you don't believe me check out our graduate profiles: http://www.uwc.org/uwc_life/graduate_profiles

5. 520km, 3 days, short legs.

UWC is a unique organisation. It is the only global educational NGO that brings students together from all over the world, selected from within their own countries, on merit and potential and regardless of their ability to pay. These students come together at one of thirteen United World Colleges that aim to foster international understanding and peace.

Your donation will go towards supporting a student(s) who would not otherwise have access to such an opportunity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for UWC.

Please give generously! Your support will be greatly appreciated!

Lots of love,

Jane and Dave
