Tanzania is uniquely peaceful and its people deal with living in one of the poorest countries in Africa with dignity and resourcefulness. A very little goes a long way in terms of supporting people's own efforts to improve their lives. You can have the satisfaction of knowing that your money is really contributing to supporting someone - like the girl with the beautiful smile in my picture  - or a project they're involved with.
