UPDATE
I am no longer able to run in the 2008 London Marathon but am planning to transfer my place to run in 2009. HEART UK have told me that all the money I have already raised will go towards my target for next year.
Thank you very much to everyone who has sponsored me so far.
If you would like more information, please contact me on my email - jane.fry@talk21.com
On 13th April 2008 I will be running the London Marathon for HEART UK.
HEART UK is a charity dedicated to preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. This cause means a lot to me as there is a history of heart disease and inherited high cholesterol in my family - my grandfather and one of my uncles both died suddenly and prematurely from heart attacks aged 59 and 60.
As many of you will know, running the marathon is a very big deal for me - before 2007 I had never even succeeded in running 5k, but I have really taken to the sport and will even go so far as to say that I love running now!
I would be grateful for any donation you can give me - it will be a real incentive to keep up all the training I'm doing on those cold winter mornings and evenings!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HEART UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks in advance for your support.
