Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As some of you will know, my twin sons Harrison and Alexander arrived on 31st August 2008, 12 weeks early.

It was a scary time for us all, the boys weighed just over 2lbs each and were wired to various machines, all constantly bleeping and were on ventilators, unable to breathe for themselves.

Fortunately for us all, my boys are made from strong stuff and after about 10 days in intensive care, they were moved to the high dependency room in St Marys Neonatal unit. Although it seemed very slow at times,  the twins made steady progress and with no major setbacks eventually made it to the nursery and 10 weeks and 4 days after they were born finally came home - then the fun really started..... :-)

Whilst the twins were in the hospital you just learn to take each day as it comes, but once they are home and you know everythings ok, it finally hits you. Some of those babies in the unit will never make it home.

The staff at St Marys were absolutely fantastic and I'm not sure I would be here today without them, let alone the twins. Without their love, support and expertise I cannot bear to think of how things might have turned out.

Bliss work to help provide the knowledge and training to make the St Marys Neonatal unit and others like it the fantastic life saving facilities that they are. If through my run I can help Bliss to make a difference to one tiny life it will be worth it, but I'm hoping that with your help I can make a difference to so many more.
