Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
I will be taking part in 2 legs of the Clipper 07/08 Round The World Yacht Race joining the race in Australia and sailing to Singapore, Qingdao, Pusan & Hawaii before finishing on the West Coast of North America. I'll be sailing approximately 12,000 and it would fantastic if I could raise £1 per mile. I've decided to split my fund raising efforts between 2 very worth while charities - The Phillip Green Memorial Trust and the RNLI, so the aim is to raise £6000 for each charity.
To find out more about the race either visit the Clipper Website or read my blog.
The RNLI exists purely on charitable donations, so just what can your £ (or $) pay for:
£10 is the cost of a training video or DVD to pass on important lifeboat knowledge
£272 will enable a crew member to attend first aid, radio, radar or seamanship training.
£1372 pays for an inshore lifeboat volunteer to train for a week at The Lifeboat College, Poole, Dorset
£13,692 will provide sea survival training for 12 all weather lifeboat crew members.
The above information is from the Train One, Save Many website. For a complete list of the running costs involved visit the RNLI website.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
