Story

LONDON MARATHON APRIL 13 2008

Hello!  Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

This will be my 2nd attempt at the London Marathon after I broke my left ankle in February 07 and had to pull out last year.  I am keeping my old fundraising page going mainly because my Dad sponsored me on here and he is now no longer with us having lost his brave and dignified fight with bowl cancer in October 2007.

Steve and I are both raising money for The Institute of Cancer Research - one of the biggest and most efficient cancer chairties, with 95% of money raised going directly into research.

My aim is to do as much training as I can without further injury or damage to my still weak left foot.  Just to start the London Marathon will feel like an achievement this year.  To finish will be amazing - preferably with a smile on my face - the time is not important though I would prefer not to be last!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Institute of Cancer Research & Everyman will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support and as my friend BL says, you might get fit by association!
