Story
Hi to all those visiting this web site even to those who are just curious. My name is Jane Atkinson (nee Dearing for those who knew me pre aching joints, pre peri- menopausal symptoms, and pre moaning about being fat before I actually ever was). I am married to the lovely nik, alias chunkie/Ako who forever remains the love of my life. I have three children Peter 23, Reggie 17 and Hattiebear who is 9 and totally eccentric. Since leaving college I have worked mostly in the caring field and am now an holistic therapist specialising in aromatherapy and reflexology.
Deciding to take on this challenge is going to be the start of change. To be able to focus on clearing the dementor who has faithfully followed me around for the past few years, making life an uphill battle may hopefully be eradicated by positive thinking and motivation. The Women for Women charity (www.women-for-women.org) has organised a 370-km bike ride around Cuba. I need to raise the sum of £3000 to do this and hopefully this web page will make donating money a lot easier for those who wish to do so.
Research is the way forward to promote healthy lives for women and their babies. Our bodies are amazing, there is no end to the wonderful lives that our bodies enable us to live but we sometimes need help. We need professionals who care, those who have an expanding knowledge of our conditions that can tell us what is wrong, why and what to do next. Professionals we can trust, to do the very best for ourselves and our children, leaving no stone unturned. Giving us informed choices so we know the best way forward. Women for women charity ensure this is offered to its full potential. Please visit their web site you yourself you may fancy a challenge.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Women for Women will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Any donation will of course be gratefully received and heres to a happy and healthy future for ourselves, our children and the people around us. Let all our hills be little ones (please) xMany thanks.
