Story
Hello Everyone
Unfortunately, fate took a hand and I am now unable to do the abseil because I suffered 2 TIAs (mini strokes) recently and my Doctor has said no!
However, my wonderful husband (Alf), has decided that he will be doing it in my place and has changed my registration to his. He will be abseiling down the Royal Liver Building at 2.30 pm on Sunday, 19th July 2009! Thank you so much Alf!
I have wanted to to a sponsored abseil for quite some time, so when the opportunity arose for me to do so in my wonderful Pool of Life, I just couldn't resist! However, it wasn't to be this time, but I will be doing one in the future. This is a charity that is very close to my heart (even more so now)!. As a diabetic, I am only too aware of the possibility of a stroke, but then my lovely Uncle John suffered a stroke two years' ago, so I have seen how debilitating it can be. Happy to say he is doing very well now.
My target was £85, which everyone has very kindly managed to reach and more! Thank you all so much. Particular thanks to Wahida who bought 2 Take That Tickets from me because I was unable to go owing to being unwell. The £135 she has paid has been donated to this page in the Offline Donations.
If you would like to sponsor Alf with this, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much for visiting my page, please sponsor Alf now!
