The
London to Southend bike ride is around 60 miles long from Victoria Park in London through Essex countryside to Priory Park in Southend.
This is the 7th time I've done this bike ride, every year since 2000 with the exception of 2007 because I was graduating! The first few were quite easy when I was at the peak of my fitness, but then as the years went on and uni life meant I wasn't as fit or sober, it got a lot harder!! In 2005 I
blogged about it! This year, I'll be riding with my best friend Chris, but its been a while for him too so we'll see how it goes!
The bike I used to ride has literally
fallen apart as the front forks broke off! I now have a new bike which I've been riding intensively since February and I've been training by riding to and from places like Rugby, on the weekends! I'm still feeling it but hopefully I'm more prepared!
