As many of you will know, Jasmine is 8 years old and was diagnosed with coeliac disease at 18 months after months of misdiagnosis to the point where she only weighed 15 pounds and didn't have the energy to be a normal child.

Coeliac UK is the charity that helps people with coeliac disease, and their families. They also fund medical research into the condition, and raise awareness in the medical and catering industries so that people on a gluten free diet can go out to eat at restaurants, and doctors can hopefully pick up on the symptoms quicker, as recent surveys have shown that it takes an average of 13 years from when symptoms first start, to actual diagnosis!!! However, this takes time and lots of money is needed to help fund these campaigns.

Jasmine joined me for the first time last year on the Women's challenge in Hyde Park. We mostly walked around the 5KM course as Jasmine wore herself out running the first 1/2 KM and waving at everyone along the way, as she was so excited. We ended up raising a staggering £700!
