<p><em>Supported by&nbsp; <a title="BTE Systems" href="http://www.btesystems.co.uk">www.btesystems.co.uk</a> ''Specialists in Fire Risk Management''</em></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">''Every journey of 150 miles starts with a single step''<br></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">THE MARATHON DES SABLES - THE TOUGHEST FOOTRACE ON EARTH!<br><br>In APRIL 2012, Jason Burke from Chineham Park Running Club will be pushing himself to the absolute limit by undertaking the infamous MARATHON DES SABLES - the toughest footrace on Earth - 150miles across Sahara in extreme heat with daily temperatures above 50'C.<br><br>I will have to endure searing heat, blisters, scorpions, muscle fatigue, more blisters, dehydration, snakes, sand dunes, and more blisters - all this whilst carrying everything I need for the week and endeavouring to complete the challenging distance. This is not for the faint-hearted - this is extreme in every sense of the word.<br><br>Why am I doing this? <em>"Everyone thinks I am completely nuts, without exception. But I think you have to be a bit crazy to do something like this."</em></span></strong><br><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;"> <br> Jason is raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity - and 100% of the money raised via YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS will go directly towards helping injured fire fighters.<br><br>Jason is pushing his muscles to the limit in extreme heat, to help those fire fighters who have experienced real heat on a daily basis to help the public.<br><br>''Why not be a part of something amazing today''.
