My story

Updated on Nov 10th 2012 at 12:54 PM from the JustGiving API

Only one week to go until "probably the toughest event on the planet" The North West Tough Mudder! With the Men's Health 10k in Edinburgh & the Great Scottish Run - Half Marathon completed, it’s time for the biggest challenge, The North West Tough Mudder on Saturday 17th November. THE REAL TOUGH ONE! Please help me raise funds for the sick children in Glasgow’s famous Yorkhill Hospital.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am endevouring to raise funds for Yorkhill Children's Foundation in support of all the great medical and surgical provision they provide to the sick children of Greater Glasgow and the support they offer patients family and friends.

My personal challenge is to participate, and finish, three endurance running events ... Great Scottish Run Half Marathon on 2nd September (see at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oRSIuzw8DRI, ) followed by the challenging Men's Health Survival of the Fittest event in Edinburgh city centre on 21st October (see at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayTGLzDkPk4&feature=player_embedded ) and the heart thumping, thigh burning and muscle ripping extreme enduro that is the North West Tough Mudder on 17th November (see at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=Qv9M5zMWqYA ). This is going to be tough and over a space of 10 weeks will get tougher then tougher still. I'm committed to a serious training programme and determined to fulfill this 'triple' challenge ... and I hope you will support me all the way with a generous donation to Yorkhill Children's foundation via this donation page.

In recent years, together we have raised over £6000 in support of Yorkhill Children's Foundation, but as a charity they aways need our support. So please, let's pull together to generate as much as we can for this very worthwhile cause. Afterall, if we look after the children, we make an investment in all our futures.

You may not know, but Yorkhill Hospital has touched millions of lives since it first opened its doors in 1882. It exists to help sick children get better, yet it does so much more. As the largest children's hospital in Scotland, Yorkhill has a worldwide reputation for excellence, treating over 150,000 children from across Scotland every year.

Yorkhill Hospital is the sole Scottish provider of a number of highly specialised services including cardiac surgery, kidney and bone marrow transplants, paediatric intensive care and endoprosthetic bone replacement. It is also one of the only four UK children's hospitals with an ECMO machine offering life support for children.

I very much appreciate you taking time to read my page. I now ask that you take a moment longer to hit the DONATION button. Many thanks.

Jason Miller
