Jason's 50th Birthday Three Peaks Challenge

50th Birthday Three Peaks Challenge · 17 May 2019
As I turn 50 this year I wanted to give myself a personal challenge (while hoping to raise a few quid for charity) and roped in a few mates to help me complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge.
If you are unaware, the challenge is to scale the three tallest Mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.
The three mountains, in the order we will be attempting them, are Ben Nevis in Scotland (1345m), Scafell Pike in England (978m) then onto Snowdon in Wales (1085m). The total walking distance is 23 miles, ascending in total 3064 metres, with 462 miles of driving in between...all in 24 hours.
While doing this I would like to raise some money for Centrepoint.
Centrepoint is a charity that uses practical action to help young people break the cycle of homelessness and unemployment.Through their network of hostels and support hubs, Centrepoint provides a safe place to stay, but the work they do is about so much more than just getting people off the streets.
What I admire is that they work with homeless young people to help themselves with assistance and support. Alongside accommodation, Centrepoint provides health advice and life skills to get homless 16-25 year olds back into education, training and employment.
Thank you for your support.
