Hi !
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. Prostate Cancer is a significant health issue for men as they approach a “certain age”. I have seen the impact it can have as there is a history of Prostate issues on both sides of my family.
Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK with 35,000 men diagnosed with it each year.
Burnham Beeches Rotary Club have provided me with an entry into the 2009 London Marathon and the promise of help with fund raising activities. All the money we raise will go to “The Prostate Cancer Charity” the largest organisation focused specifically on Prostate Cancer in the UK. The charity funds research into the disease and provides information and support to people who are affected by it.
In addition to running the London Marathon on 26 April 2009, I will also run the Devizes 10 km race on 8 March and the Bath Half Marathon on 15 March. I have set a target to beat my previous personal best timings over these courses;
Devizes 10 km: Target time 41 min 30 sec
Bath HalfMarathon: Target time 1 hour 32 min 30 sec
London Marathon: Target time 3 hours 35 min
This is a daunting challenge. However, I appreciate that in the current economic climate, making a contribution to even the most worthy of causes is something that needs to be considered carefully. So if you are able to support “The Prostate Cancer Charity” by making a donation on this page then please be assured that I will be working very hard to merit your generosity.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches Trust Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
