Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After having my stroke five and a half years ago I thought it's about time I raised money to say a massive thank you to all the neurologist consultants, doctors, nurses and physio's that got me back on my feet and back to health over the years.

So, I'm putting on my trainers and doing the great north run in September, my first half marathon. I want to raise as much money as I can for a cause so close to my heart.

I think it's very important that people are aware that you can have a stroke at any age, even if you are fit and healthy. My stroke was caused by a tear in an artery in my neck, this caused a blood clot to form in my brain.

I'd very much appreciate anyone who would like to sponsor me, and a massive thank you for taking time to read my story.
