3 Peaks Challenge · 29 May 2010

Heart Link, was originally formed as a support group for parents and families who have a child suffering from a heart defect. Since 1981 we have collected over £4 million pounds. This has been used to fund projects large and small. Thank you for supporting us!

Story

Hey, only a few days to go before we start the challenge, all the training has been done, Lucy and I went to Snowdon a couple of weeks ago and managed to climb up and down in under 4 hours which has given us a boost, as that was the target.

The quiz night was a real success, 80 people came to The Little India restaurant where we all enjoyed a great night and raised £660.00 between the stroke association and Heart Link. We also raised £560 from two evenings at clares between the charities. Our next event is a garden party on 19th June, will give more details after the walk.

Thanks to you all xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my fundraising page,

I'm taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money in memory of my lovely husband Wayne. I have chosen HeartLink as it was a charity that Wayne supported . It helps support parents and siblings when their baby is born with congenital heart disease.

I will be doing the challenge on the last bank holiday in May, it entails  walking up and back down Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon travelling  in between  each  mountain, supposedly all in 24hours. At that point I might collapse!!!  So whilst some of you are relaxing, walking round Alton Towers or at the seaside think of me. xx
