Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As many of you are aware my father in law, Duncan, passed away last October after courageously fighting a hard and arduous battle with cancer. I'm going to be raising funds and running in his honour when I make my marathon debut (42.195km or 26.2 miles) at the Canberra marathon on Sunday 19th April 09. I'm planning on channelling the strong will, determination and passion for life that Duncan showed to spur me on as I push my body further than ever before during the run. The money raised will go directly to St Catherine's Hospice. St Catherine's took such good care of Duncan and they provided an invaluable support system to our family over the course of Duncan's illness. If you would like to help me raise money for St Catherine's and to help them carry on the great work they do in helping others, please donate at this site. Any amount at all will help out. If you do not wish to donate directly online, please email me and let me know how much you would like to donate. I will arrange to collect cash from you. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St. Catherine's Hospice ( Lancashire ) Ltd gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now!
