Hello!  I will be running the Amsterdam Marathon (26.2 miles....!) on 18th October in aid of ‘Paradise Hill’, a fund that some friends and I set up a couple of years ago to help support a family we used to work with in Brazil.

So far we have bought them a house in Paradise Hill (a favela far enough away from inner city Rio de Janeiro to keep them safe from drug and gang warfare), and more recently contributed to the building of a Community Centre there which is a great meeting place and learning resource for all the locals.   The work so far has really transformed their lives, but we still desperately need to raise money for ongoing support, so if you can make a contribution (no matter how large or small) that would be fantastic.
