This is a once in a lifetime experience that can't be matched; saving and changing children’s lives, sharing music, meeting amazing people, going down in history, breaking a world record and climbing the highest trekking peak on earth.

Music4Children is a charity founded in 2005 by a small group of musicians that were touched by the plight of the street children of Nepal. When they broke the world record of the highest gig in altitude on the same year they raised enough money to build an orphanage in Nepal. Since then the record has been stolen, so in May 2012 we’re going even higher, to Mera Peak; the highest trek in the world at 6476m. Money raised from this time will finish the internals and look after sustainability for at least 2 years.

I NEED TO RAISE £4000 IN ORDER TO BE PART OF THIS INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE !

£2000 for the cost of the actual trek and £2000 for the orphanage.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION. WHATEVER THE AMOUNT IS, I WOULD BE INFINITELY THANKFUL AND YOU WOULD PARTICIPATE IN MAKING SEVERALS CHILDREN'S LIFES BETTER !

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Depending on the sponsors I would find, I am also hoping to carry with me sound equipment and beat in the same time the world record of the highest recording ever made !

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRIP :

Mera Peak ascent / World highest gig :

The plan simply is as follows; after two days in Kathmandu we will take a 35 minute flight and land in an impossible looking airstrip at a place called Lukla. The trek begins here and it winds through beautiful villages and valleys to Mera Base Camp (5,099m) situated at the base of an immense glacier leading to the Mera La Pass. 16 days of ascent later and after having gone through Khare and 2 high base camps we will reach the summit, perform the gig for about half an hour to forty minutes and walk down to the base camp for the return to the madness of Kathmandu.

Find more about it : http://www.worldshighestgig.com

Monastery gigs :

During this decent we will be performing in monasteries, and monks from these monasteries will be performing for us. Money raised from the passing trekkers will be donated to help the local children.

Kathmandu Street festival :

After our descent we will arrive in Kathmandu and will form the first ever Kathmandu Street festival, which we hope will become an annual event. We will take our PA system to parts of Kathmandu that have never had the chance to see local or international artists. We will play to street children and communities from the poorest parts of Kathmandu, put some sunshine into their lives and ours, and give everyone an unforgettable experience. This has never been done before, and is another once in a lifetime experience. During this time, we will also get chance to go and see the orphanage that we have helped to build and fund.
