So please sponsor generously and the next time we meet, you can hear all about it :)

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. And YES, I have lost my mind
I am giving up my couch potato lifestyle, putting on the running shoes and going to run 10km on 2nd July to raise money and awareness for Terrence Higgins Trust.
For someone who doesn't even run for a bus, 10km is a pretty long way to go. I have recently started going to the gym and realised that I will need a huge motivation to drag myself across the finishing line, so please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Terrence Higgins Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.

Beside the comedy value of seeing me run 10km, here are some reasons why you should support Terrence Higgins Trust...
● There are over 60,000 people living with HIV in the UK
● Around one third of people infected with HIV do not know it
● In 2004, there were an estimated 7,000 new diagnoses, more than in any previous year
● One person tests HIV positive every 90 mins
You might be surprised to learn that in the UK, HIV is one of the least popular causes to support. Public perception is at an all time low and yet last year saw the highest number of new diagnoses since the epidemic began!
THT aims to:
● Reduce the spread of HIV and promote good sexual health
● Provide services which improve the health and quality of life of those affected
● Campaign for greater public understanding of the personal, social and medical impact of HIV and AIDS
What your money can do...
£14 will provide two hours of THT Direct Helpline volunteer training. THT Direct is a national helpline for any person living with or affected by HIV. Due to the stigma and confusion that still surrounds HIV, it is essential that people who are distressed and feel isolated have somewhere to turn for confidential, specialist information and emotional support.
£25 will enable THT to purchase books, soft toys and puzzles to encourage the children in the "Children and Families Projects" to interact and create lasting, supportive friendships. The children, affected by HIV, are offered a safe environment in which to play without fear of prejudice, taunts or discrimination.
