My charity, Mending Broken Hearts, is a research charity set up by British Heart Foundation, to find a way to repair heart muscle which has been damaged by heart attacks or strokes.  My husband had a stroke and gradually his health deteriorated and he finally died in July 2011.  In ten years time it is possible that many lives could be saved by this research, too late to save my Brian. 

  I am 81 years old and Lady Captain at Littlehampton Golf Club and have chosen this charity for my year.   I hope to raise at least £1500 for my Wing Walk which takes place at Goodwood Motor Race Circuit on Saturday, 30th May, in the afternoon.
