| Our personal message: |
Welcome to the Justgiving page for Team Freeman 's cycleglasgow 2008 on August 17th. This year's cycle is on a special day for us. It's the birthday of a much loved member of our family, Bryan Freeman. Bryan died when he was only 20 as a result of Leukaemia. All the money we raise will go to the Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre which is now in its impressive new home at Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow. Situated alongside the Beatson Cancer Centre and in a clinical setting, the Research Centre is doing some amazing and ground breaking work, with the help of some of the best scientists, researchers and clinicians from all over the world. Each one of them is working hard to improve leukaemia treatment and help more people survive this cancer. Our bit to help them is tiny - although we might not be so humble when we've done the 13 miles, or for the show-offs in the Team, 26 miles! But with all the necessary fag breaks, oxygen supplies and the promise of a decent drink at the end, we'll complete the route and raise as much as we can. Last year 2 of us managed over £1500. This year, 13 of us are aiming to triple that and reach £5000. Every bit of your help is really appreciated. Thank you very much for your support.
