SOS Children's Villages UK offers unsupported children worldwide the chance to grow up in a safe and nurturing family environment with education and healthcare. We work to reduce family breakdown and child abandonment and protect at-risk children affected by conflict and disaster.

Story

Hello :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I love running. And now I wish to run for a just cause.. I will be taking part in this year's Malta International Challenge Marathon, which this year will take place on the 26, 27, 28 November... it's going to be a tough race, as basically its a full marathon split over three consecutive days..but I'm determined to do it. You can read more about this race on http://www.marathonchallengemalta.com/

My aim is to raise £1000 which will go directly to charity.

SOS Children's Villages is an international non-governmental social development organisation that has been active in the field of children's rights and committed to children's needs and concerns since 1949. In 132 countries and territories their activities focus on children without parental care and children of families in difficult circumstances. The homes of SOS Children's Villages provide a loving, caring and safe environment for these children.

I've chosen SOS Children Hungary to continue on an initiative taken up by my friend Andrew http://hungarytohitch.blogspot.com/2010/04/sos-children-hungary.html
