Starting on 12th Sept I am going to embark of a mammoth cycle ride from John on Groats to Lands End with 4 work collegues for charity. We will try to complete this ride in 7 days and are currently training hard.We will be staying overnight in a motorhome which is our support vehicle.Those of you who know me recognise me second from the left on the picture and those of you that know me well will also know that I've taken  up Fixed Gear riding  (no gears and no freewheeling) of 80 miles plus a week to work in addition to long weekend rides.

We are completing this ride for an extremely worthwhile charity Children’s Hospice South West. This charity has two branches and provides respite and care for terminally sick children and their families.

Caring for a life limited child can be extremely exhausting and lonely experience and can put a massive strain on the Childs family. Children’s Hospice Southwest is a place where families go for rest bite and relaxation and terminal care and support for the sick child and whole family. I am raising money for Charlton Farm which is the branch closest to where myself and my collegues live in Bristol.

I would really appreciate any donation no matter how small. The ride should be 860 miles all in, so I thought it was logical if you considered sponsoring me one penny a mile so thats £8.60. Like I say though I would really appreciate any donation feel free to donate a smaller amount or a bigger amount !

Those of you who sponsor me £8.60 or more using Just Giving I will put you in a draw and get a random person to pick one name out of a hat. The person whose name gets picked I will give £50 of my own money!I figured this might encourage more sponsors?

I've been collecting paper sponsors so far and as of 17 July have only just properly got this just giving account up and running.
