Mike and Glenn Cycle to Paris
I'm cycling London to Paris in 24 hours for Parkinson’s UK because we're nearly 30 and need to do something virtuous.

My story
Hello!
Thanks for visiting the page. Glenn and I are intending to cycle 192 miles from London to Paris in 24 hours (we're not counting the miles on the ferry as we'll hopefully be asleep). We'd love to raise a stack of money for Parkinson's UK, which helped my grandfather fight a frankly horrendous disease, and if you'd like to, please do donate something. We'll add photos and information in due course, but at the moment we're mainly worried about Mike never having cycled more than 20 miles in his life before.
Thanks, and fingers crossed!
Mike and Glenn
PS: Update - You can donate £5 + GiftAid by texting LNPS55 £5 to 70070.

Thanks to everybody who donated, we've been really touched by everyone's generosity, both for Parkinson's and for us in the dark, early hours of Saturday morning. Thanks for helping such a worthwhile cause. Mike and Glenn.
Last big ride today before the Big One-it's been busy, but feeling confident that we might at least reach the ferry... Thanks everybody for the money raised so far, it's getting closer...
Training ride this evening and missed an impressive three turnings. The extra 8 miles was good for the fitness, as long as we don't end up in Marseilles come Saturday evening...
The hardest part of the training, psychologically at least, is the number of great pubs, farm shops, etc. that I'm passing, and I can't drop in on. I've cycled past the Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons twice this week, and it's more than a man should have to bear...
Help with Parkinsons research: an Oxford University team is investigating early diagnosis by voice analysis - they're hoping to track 10,000 voices to build a database. To take part, or for more details visit http://www.parkinsonsvoice.org/index.php
My charity
Parkinson’s UK
Charity Registration No. 258197 and Scotland SC037554
Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. Because we’re here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependent on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
