Lisa became serious ill at the end of May this year.  She had a very rare lung condition called Familial Interstitial Pneumonitis and contracted viral pneumonia.  On 2nd June she was transferred by a team of experts to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on ECMO-a specialist form of life support that removes the blood from the body and oxygenates outside the body, allowing the lungs and heart to rest and recover. Unfortunately ECMO wasn’t able to save Lisa and after 54 days she tragically passed away.  The ECMO nurses are the most incredible team of people we have ever met-the care and love they gave both Lisa and our family was the most amazing thing we have ever experienced and we will be forever thankful for all they did for us, and especially Lisa.  We’d like to raise money for the ECMO department to allow them to train more specialist nurses, provided extended training for their current nurses, and to add to the facilities they have.  Thank you from our whole family for your donation X
