Thank you for visiting the Jeni Lee Bateman Corum Trust page.
It was Jeni's wish to raise funds for Corums, who most of you will know, played an important part in Jeni's early life as well as in recent years.
I would like to set up this fund as a lasting tribute to such a special person who I loved dearly and who touched the hearts of many others. Jeni will be sadly missed by us all, family, friends and colleagues.
The money raised will go towards post adoption support. All of the children placed by Corum Family have experienced losses and disruptions to a greater or lesser extent. The majority have experienced neglect, abuse and trauma. These experiences will have had an effect on their development and behaviour, and they need extra care to help them grow and reach their full potential. Post adoption work involves support and counselling for parents and children for as long as they need it after adoption takes place, and also helping children contact their birth parents if they chose to later in life. If you are an UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
