Story
Hi,
Well firstly thank you all for visiting our webpage. We are all very excited at the prospect of being a team and competing in the London Triathlon on the 9th August this year.
Michelle will start the race by swimming in theThames estuary 750m (brrr cold)
Jeni then takes off for a 20km bike ride (hopefully with no crashes)
Rene then brings us home with a 5km run (ouch sore feet)
We are raising money as a group for the eating disorder charity Beat. You may not be aware that Jeni suffered with very severe anorexia for over 5 years during her late teens and early twenties. It is not purely by miracle that jeni survived (weighing just 4.8 stone meant the odds were not good), it is through the unrelenting support and love of family, partner, friends and councillors assistance that Jeni is the person she is today.
In supporting and spreading the word about Beat and eating disorders, it assists indispensable support networks (family, friends, sufferers) understand how best to help and have awareness of this disorder. Contrary to popular belief this illness is not a trend or fad and awareness of this misconception can help be dispelled.
Thank you for all donations received and if you fancy a good day out, come and see us compete or even buy us a beer after, at the London Docklands Excel centre on the 9th of August.
