Brighton Marathon 2010 · 18 April 2010 ·

Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

Hi

Since I signed up to do the first Brighton marathon last year, lots of people have been asking if they can sponsor me.  For a long time I thought the training was going to be hard enough - but JustGiving has given me an easy way to solve that.

I've been to see Mark Thomas a few times and he's made me cry not only with laughter, but also at the horror at what some people have to deal with.  His work with Amnesty has inspired me to support them.

I'd like to thank all the people who've helped with my marathon training - you know who you are and I wouldn't be doing this without you - thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - here comes the blurb....

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
